SIGE
Transformation project for the SIGE at its "Les Gonelles" lake water treatment.
The recent startup of the oxidation stage marked the end of a 2-year transformation project for the SIGE (Service intercommunal de gestion, www.sige.ch) at its ‘Les Gonelles’ lake water treatment site near Vevey.
Without interrupting production, the ancient 2-stage plant with sand filtration and oxidation became a modern treatment plant with ozonation, activated carbon and membrane ultrafiltration capable to produce 1'800 m3 /h (1.8 million liters/hr). As a general contractor Membratec is responsible for the whole 4-train treatment process.
