History

Formation of Membratec SA, based in Sierre. From its beginning the company develops its activities in the drinking water treatment domain.

Commissioning of the first ultrafiltration plant in Switzerland, in Thyon 2000.

Partnership agreement with Sogea-Construction (now Vinci Construction France) for the French market.

The Prix Sommet 2004, following the theme "from audacity to success" and meant to reward an innovative company from the Valais canton, is awarded to Membratec SA.

Commissioning of the Zermatt reverse osmosis plant, the first application of membrane technology for water softening in Switzerland.

The AquaPro 2006 Innovation Prize delivered at a fair for water professionals, is awarded to Membratec due to the realisation of the first centralised water softening plant in the country.

Commissioning of a  300 m³/h ultrafiltration plant in Annemasse, France, in partnership with Vinci Construction France

Construction of a bench-scale pilot plant for assessing the membrane fouling potential of surface water. Link

Contract for a 1'500 m³/h treatment plant, together with Vinci Construction France, for the Rouen-Moulineaux agglomeration.

More than 30 treatment plants with varying capacity have been commissioned.

Rehab of the Gonelles drinking water treatment plant in Vevey (CH), with a capacity of 1'800 m³/h. A complex treatment chain allowing in particular a reduction of organic micropollutants such as pesticides.

Development of an emergency treatment unit for water supply in the event of a crisis. Link

Membratec SA currently boasts over 50 ultrafiltration plants.

Commissioning of the first ultrafiltration plant in the canton of Ticino for the commune of Lodrino.
